A Word from Joan Mathews Larson

I realize some of you are gravely ill from this disease, some have little or no support, and some are going it alone. If you are in need of intensive medical and professional help to recover, you are welcome to call Health Recovery Center at 1-888-988-6889* or write to us at hrc@healthrecovery.com. I assure you that with proper biochemical repair you can confidently expect to recover from alcoholism, and we are here to help you.

At this writing Health Recovery Center is looking at placing this treatment model around the U.S. If we can accomplish this, it will complete the work I set out to do.

The foundation welcomes any gifts, no matter how small to continue this work. I like to think that Rob would be proud of the changes in treatment inspired by his short life and tragic death.

* It should be noted that to qualify for non-profit status, a foundation must give away at least 5% of their annual donated income--and most do; however, the Rob Mathews Foundation gives between 95-100% of its donations directly back to the people it was set up to help--addicts and alcoholics. The RMF does not use any donated money to pay board member salaries or for overhead costs. Health Recovery Center donates space for meetings and lunch for the RMF board of directors when they meet monthly to decide how donations will be divided among those alcoholics and addicts whose needs are the greatest and whose financial resources are small.

The RM Foundation is a unique foundation; the money it receives is too precious to waste on research that duplicates studies on methods that have already been proven as failures-- an all too often abuse in non-profit grant money allocation. We have a model that works. Research studies on the treatment miracles we at HRC witness everyday are needed to enlighten the treatment field and to deliver knowledge to those in need and those who wish to take part in this exciting new century of medicine and health --your donation will work to that end.

* HRC does not have a service center in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. Callers from these states will be directed to InnerBalance in Fort Collins, Colorado, which offers a drug and alcohol treatment program using biochemical restoration and repair.
